Chassis - ESS System

The MDT ESS Chassis System introduced a lot of features that have since driven design decisions on MDT chassis moving forward, such as the M-LOK forend, ambidextrous magazine latch, and the XTN buttstock interface that allows room for you hand to sit natrually. 

The main focus of the ESS from the very beginning was to create the most ergonomic chassis available. A lot of attention was put into every little detail to ensure that it feels comfortable and natural hold and operate. During the design process, the chassis was carved into foam to find the right shapes and ensure the ergonomic goal. From the octagonal forend to the angled polymer foregrip, and the wide ergonomic thumb rest, this truly is a masterpiece to be held. 

Another big focus is customizability. The enclosed M-LOK forend is available in 4 different styles; the included no rail forend, as well as optional carbon fiber, full rail, and partial rail forends. While the MDT ESS Chassis System comes with the MDT Pistol Grip - Elite, it's also compatible with most other AR interface grips.The included MDT SRS-X Buttstock is also readily interchangeable with out XTN interface buttstocks, and can also be adapted to other interfaces using our own MDT Buttstock Adapters.

Superior Ergonomics - Designed with ergonomics as the main focus. A lot of attention went into every little detail to make it the most comfortable and natural feeling possible. 

Comfortable Unsupported Shooting - The integrated angled polymer hand rest lets you rest your hand comfortably in a more natural position rather than havng to stretch your wrist. The octagonal shape of the enclosed M-LOK forend also allows for a much more comfortable grip without having to touch the potentially hot barrel. 

Quick Mag Changes - Features an ambidextrous mag latch and flared magwell that guides the magazine into position without fumbling to find the sweet spot, enabling you to perform quick and easy mag changes and get back to shooting. 

Ergonomic Thump Shelf - The XTN buttstock interface allows room for a wide ergonomic thumb shelf that enables a more comfortable and stable hand position on the grip, so you can easily cycle the bolt, change mags, and pull the trigger all without having to move your hand away from the grip. 

Fine Tune your Buttstock - The included MDT SRS-X Buttstock is highly adjustable and enables you to make fine adjustments to check rise height and cant, buttpad heightm and length of pull. The MDT SRS-X Buttstock also supports additional weights such as the MDT Bag Rider, MDT Buttstock Weight, and MDT LOP spacer weight.
